Our annual Pink Tie Galas have sold out each year to a room full of passionate, powerful feminists who have enjoyed an incredible time. The evening always brings together an exciting mix of people supporting both the arts and our feminist philosophy. This year, due to COVID-19, our Pink Tie event is looking a little different...

Nevertheless, we PerSISt!

In November 2020 PerSIStence Theatre will be hosting an online auction, in replace of our gala, to fundraise for our 2020-2021 season It's Women's Play.

How can you help?

PerSIStence Theatre is now accepting donations for our 2020 Pink Tie Auction! Do you have a cool piece of art that you want to re-home? Have an 'in' with a local business? Or maybe you would you like to donate to us directly?

Our Auction will be split into three weeks:
  • Week one starts Sunday November 1 at 12:00pm (noon) and closes on Sunday November 8 at 11:59am
  • Week two starts Sunday November 8 at 12:00pm (noon) and closes on Sunday November 15 at 11:59am
  • Week three starts Sunday November 15 at 12:00pm (noon) and closes on Sunday November 22 at 11:59am

Professional artists are offered a 50/50 split on all donations of their art to our auction.

Contact the PerSIStence Board of Directors C/O Erika Squires at erika@persistencetheatre.com with all of your donations or ideas and we would be happy to coordinate pick up or discuss more about this endeavour!

INDIGENOUS LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

At PerSIStence, we feel that it is vital to support the Indigenous people and communities of Newfoundland and Labrador and understand our privilege, as beneficiaries of both historical and ongoing colonialism, in being able to live and work together on this beautiful land.

We sincerely acknowledge the territory in which we gather, as the ancestral unceded home-lands of the Beothuk and the island of Newfoundland as the ancestral homelands of the Mi’kmaq and Beothuk. We would also like to recognize the Inuit of Nunatsiavut and NunatuKavut and the Innu of Nitassinan, and their ancestors, as the original people of Labrador.

We encourage all to join us in learning more about and supporting the Indigenous people and communities of Newfoundland and Labrador. A great place to start is by connecting with First Light an organization that provides programs and services rooted in the revitalization, strengthening and celebration of Indigenous cultures and languages in the spirit of trust, respect, and friendship. Please visit firstlightnl.ca to learn more.
