Director's Notes
On some mornings when I look out my window I am reminded of the last line of “Original.” You will soon hear it for yourself. A certain sort of morning can happen any time of year, but not so often that we take it for granted. A certain sort of play can happen any time at all, but not so often we lose the magic of bearing witness. My journey with Sharon on this work has spanned years. She trusted me from the early days, and I trust her to continue being one of the most authentic, generous, talented humans. She is excellent. PerSistence Theatre has also been excellent in their support of this work, from workshop, through the different productions, and in assembling the creative and production team who inspire me in every way.
