Our annual Gala has sold out each year to a room full of passionate, powerful feminists who have enjoyed an incredible evening full of entertainment, amazing food, and fellowship.

On November 18th, 2023, PerSIStence Theatre will be hosting our 7th annual Gala at the CLB Armoury to fundraise for our feminist initiatives - which this year include queer-themed season in 2024. Accordingly, this year's Gala is RAINBOW Tie!

This year's Gala will be hosted by Ottawa-based Two-Spirited comedien Janelle Niles and features a live performance from the Spectrum Queer Choir as well as all new recitations from returning Gala highlight performer El Jones.

Auctions & raffles for unique gifts and experiences - this year's live auctioneer is the fabulous drag performer Barbra Bardot!

As always, there will be two four-course gourmet meals options for you to choose from - regular and vegan - stay tuned for detailed menus, chef announcements and wine pairings!

*Early Bird rate $225 available until September 30

DRESS CODE

"Rainbow Tie" is our cheeky take on the "Black Tie" theme. Most folks dress formally. We encourage everyone to use their creative expression to dress to their own level of comfort.

COVID-19 POLICY
If you are sick, stay home. We will be happy to honour refund requests for this reason only.

REFUND POLICY
Otherwise, all tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable.

TICKET OPTIONS
If you would like to pay by cheque, etransfer, cash or invoice rather than purchasing online through Eventbrite, we are able to do that as well - please contact us at info@persistencetheatre.com or 709-743-4274 to arrange.

Land Acknowledgement

We respectfully acknowledge the land on which we gather as the ancestral homelands of the Beothuk [bee-oth-uck], whose culture has been lost forever and can never be recovered. We also acknowledge the island of Ktaqmkuk [uk-dah-hum-gook] (Newfoundland) as the unceded, traditional territory of the Beothuk and the Mi'kmaq [mee-gum-maq]. And we acknowledge Labrador as the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Innu [in-new] of Nitassinan [ne-tass-eh-nen], the Inuit [in-new-eet] of Nunatsiavut [nu-nat-see-ah-vut], and the Inuit of NunatuKavut [nu-nah-tuhk-ah-vut]. We recognize all First Peoples who were here before us, those who live with us now, and the seven generations to come. As First Peoples have done since time immemorial, we strive to be responsible stewards of the land and to respect the cultures, ceremonies, and traditions of all who call it home. As we open our hearts and minds to the past, we commit ourselves to working in a spirit of truth and reconciliation to make a better future for all.

Our humble thanks to First Light for sharing this land acknowledgement within our community and providing valued guidance to many organizations such as ours. You can learn more by visiting their website at firstlightnl.ca.
